HEALTH CARE CENTER

 
Qualifications:

For RN, LPN, & CNA:  Must hold a current, valid Florida License and we desire at least one year prior experience. 

All other postions desire 1 year commercial or residential experience in like field or industry.

 
Positions:

REHAB. RN -  We are remodeling a wing in our Health Care Center devoted to Rehab.  On completion we will require additional staffing for it.  All candidates must be Registered Nurses with a valid Florida License in good standing, have Nursing Home experience (rehab a plus, but not required), must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), must have excellent assessment/critical thinking skills.  Positions we need to fill:

  • 1 RN day shift, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., Part Time, 40 hours per every two weeks (pay period).
  • 1 RN Full Time evening shift, 3 p.m. - 11 p.m.
  • 1 RN, 3 p.m. - 11 p.m., Part Time, 40 hours per every two weeks (pay period).
  • 1 RN Full Time night shift, 11 p.m. - 7 a.m.
  • 1 RN, 11 p.m. - 7 a.m., Part Time, 40 hours per every two weeks (pay period).

All positions are required to work alternating weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).

REHAB. DIETARY ASSISTANT - Several positions are opening shortly.  But, will require Health Care Center Dietary or Hospital Dietary experience, required 1 year or more).  Eventually there will be 1 Full time and several part time positions (up to 4).  Alternating weekends, both days Saturday & Sunday are required.  As unit opens you will need to be flexible to residents needs.  Initially we anticipate it being staffed Sun. thru Sat. probably 6:30 a.m. to approx. 7 p.m.  Assures nutritious appetizing meals, snacks and supplements are prepared and served in a pleasant atmosphere. Includes setup, serving, clean up from meals, and delivery of snacks.  Must be pleasant and able to conduct a conversation when residents are want.  Social skills and Customer Service are an important part of the position.  Oversees, documents, and assures appropriate nutritional care for all residents according to physician orders, state/federal regulations and resident care plans. 

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING (ADON) Full Time.  Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and have a current valid Florida RN License, in good standing.  Schedules will vary, must be flexible, generally 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 5 days a week, Monday - Friday.  Assists in formulating budget and works within annual budget; assists with recruiting, hiring, and staffing work area at appropriate levels. Assists and participates in the QA/CQI process. Manages the Worker's Compensation Program for the Health Care Center employees.   Exercises sound judgment and decision-making. Serves as the primary backup for the Director of Nursing Services position.  Responds appropriately to emergency needs in the center (choking, falls, convulsions, fire and disaster  situations etc.). Demonstrates safe use of oxygen, lifts and all other equipment; utilizes good body mechanics during all transfers and other physical tasks. Notifies maintenance and other appropriate staff of problems.

RN/LPN SUPERVISOR - PRN (Pool only) 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift only.  32 hours per pay period (bi-weekly).  Must have a current valid Florida RN/LPN License, in good standing.  Required to work alternating weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).

May require extra shifts and hours as needed for vacation relief of F/T Supervisor.

LPN - PRN (Pool only) 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shifts only.  Must have a current valid Florida LPN License, in good standing.  Required to work alternating weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).

CNA - PRN (Pool only) 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. shift only.  Must have a current valid Florida CNA License, in good standing.  Required to work alternating weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).

ADMISSIONS/SOCIAL WORKER - Full time, days, alternating weekends may be required, based on census and discharge planning.  Position requires Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field.  Job requirements and description:

  • Sub acute/short term rehab dept. will be area involved
  • Will require Marketing of the unit and have contact with family, social workers, and discharge planners.
  • Assertive personality necessary to keep patients motivated toward discharge.
  • Fast paced unit with admissions and discharges daily.
  • Will work closely with Therapy Director and Nurse Manager.
  • Most have interest in serving all age adults, no cognitive impaired residents in unit, no Medicaid, only Medicare, HMO,    private insurance.

Salary & Wages:

Starting Wage Will Be Determined Based On Prior Experience And Formal Training.
